During much of the 80’s David was Sales Manager for the largest UK Motorcaravan manufacturer, Autohomes UK Ltd, where he gained invaluable experience of the industry as a whole, including its network of Dealers and how these various Dealers conducted their operations. Following David’s role in manufacturing, David moved into the area of retailing. Later forming a partnership which was known to many as Plymouth Motorcaravans in Devon. In early 1997, David formed his own business, Countrywide Motorhomes, which is based near Wimborne in Dorset. Originally supplying or loaning his stock for other dealers to sell. David quickly realised that many customers wanted to deal direct having dealt with him before and often having become disillusioned by high prices & poor service elsewhere.

A further benefit which David brings to the business is that he and his family motorcaravan on a regular basis and have done so for many years. It may surprise you to know that only a handful of individuals in this industry have actually slept in or would consider sleeping in a motorcaravan. What sort of recommendations are the others really able to offer?

David enjoys many other activities including skiing, mountainbiking and canoeing.

David Theobold has a wealth of over 25 years experience in the Leisure industry where he is recognised and respected. Originally, David was involved in sales and management with a major holiday park operator. David then moved to Marquis Motorhomes, soon being promoted to Branch Manager. Many customers will already know David and be aware of the valuables knowledge that David has gained. David has a good understanding of customers requirements through his awareness of their experiences in all aspects of motorcaravanning. David left Marquis to become General Manager of Countrywide Motorhomes, bringing with him invaluable experience. This is to the benefit of the team he joins and our customers new and old. David is involved with all areas of the business, so it is likely that when visiting you will meet him and you can be assured of a warm welcome. Not to mention some friendly banter, something David has become quite famous for! David has been married for thirty seven years with a married son of his own. David enjoys country walks, football, sport generally and playing keyboards.

Lee has been Countrywide Motorhomes' leading technician for many years with a wealth of experience behind him. Until recently, Lee has worked behind the scenes out of the public eye. More recently, however, Lee has become involved in all areas of the business. You may come into contact with Lee from the first telephone call or when viewing a motorhome. Lee's precious time is much in demand. Much of Lee's work is connected with the "habitation" part of each motorhome working to strict regulations. Lee ensures each vehicle's equipment and appliances are operating efficiently. Lee liaises with many independant companies contracted to care for the various elements of our motorhomes ensuring the highest overall standards are achieved.

Lee has a growing adventurous family who all love to travel. The whole family enjoy all aspects of camping and caravanning, previous holidays have included both tenting and touring caravans. Lee enjoys many different sports, a favourite being football. Other interests include DIY and spending time with his family.

Simon has been involved with valeting since 2001 and was professionally trained by Autoglym. Autoglym are pretigeous valeting product manufacturers used by most leading manufactures. Simon uses many of the excellent Autoglym products to achieve the great finishes. Preparing a motorhome to the high standards is no easy task, it takes special skill to professionally valet the various types of Motorhomes and requires a keen eye for detail. Simon enjoys all espects of this work and clearly takes great pride in the job. We are proud of the standards achieved by Simon and these standards are regularly commented on by our customers.

Simon’s various interests include Football, Simon plays for a local five a side team, Golf, running, cooking and travel. Simon recently returned from an extensive tour of Australia.
